Is it expensive to use the MetaCard™?
Not at all. Interest accrues only on rolled-over balances and we waive your monthly fee when you charge above L$500 to your MetaCard™. See the product summary for details.
How do I use the MetaCard™ to make a purchase?
At any store that accepts the MetaCard™, simply right-click on the item that you wish to purchase and select "MetaCard".
Which stores accept the MetaCard™
We have your favorite stores such as Aitui, Caliente Express, House of Zen, Kalico Kreations, AE Industries, Kin Keiko, Orient Kulture and many more.

How do I use the MetaCard™ to make a purchase?
At any store that accepts the MetaCard™, simply right-click on the item that you wish to purchase and select "MetaCard".
Can we purchase a gift for someone with the MetaCard™?
- At any store that accepts the MetaCard™, simply right-click on any item that you wish to purchase and select "MetaCard".
- Select Gift and enter the name of the avatar that you wish to give it to on chat.
- The next purchase you make will be sent to the designated avatar.
What if my favorite store doesn't accept the MetaCard™?
If you would like your favorite store to accept the MetaCard™, tell us about it at
customerconcierge@firstmeta.com.
Meanwhile, you can still pay your purchases with the MetaCard™ by taking a L$ cash advance at one of our many ATMs.
Do I need to pay any transaction fees when making a purchase?
No, you do not pay any transaction fees when making a purchase.
Do I have to pay any monthly or membership fee for my MetaCard™?
Simply charge above L$500 to your MetaCard™ Basic or MetaCard™ Gold to have your monthly fee waived. Otherwise, the monthly fees for both cards are L$300.
What is the minimum payment I must make every month?
It will be only 2% of your new monthly balance and finance charge and fees incurred.
How do you compute the finance charge on my outstanding balance?
We use the real world industry accepted method of Average Daily Balance. An example of how this works is available in the Terms & Conditions.
How can I get the MetaCard™?
Just sign up here or at any of our in-world ATMs. It’s fast and easy. Applications for the MetaCard™ Gold will be approved within 1 business day and applications for the MetaCard™ Basic take less than 3 business days.
How do I earn and redeem my MetaPoints™?
Beginning 1 February 2008, you will be able to earn MetaPoints™ (denoted as “MP”) every month based
on the level of balance in your MetaSavings™ account. More information on how to redeem your MetaPoints™
will be released nearer to 1 March. Over the next few months, we will be introducing more uses for MetaPoints™,
including the ability to redeem MetaPoints™ for all MetaCard™ products at all MetaCard™ Stores.

Can I issue a supplementary card for my Second Life® partner?
We have not implemented that feature yet but definitely plan to do so in the near future.
Can I increase my credit limit?
You can send a request to increase your credit limit to customerconcierge@firstmeta.com. Your request will be reviewed within 3 business days. In the near future, you will be able to request for a credit limit increase by logging in to your First Meta account on our website.
Will I incur any fees if I want to terminate my card?
There are no termination fees. However, you will be required to clear all outstanding balances on your card.
How do I upgrade my MetaCard™ Basic to MetaCard™ Gold?
Because the Gold cards are secured, you will need to provide a real-life credit card information. You can
do so by logging into your First Meta account on the website, click on Credit Card Details to update your
credit card information and email us at customerconcierge@firstmeta.com or IM our friendly customer
relations officers. Approval takes 1 to 3 business days.
Will my MetaCard™ be revoked if I fail to pay?
We will review this on a case-by-case basis. You can find more details on this in the Terms & Conditions.
When will I incur late payment fee?
We will charge you a late payment fee if we do not receive your minimum payment by 5 p.m., Second Life time, i.e. PDT (GMT-8), on the payment due date stated on your transaction statement. However, we will highlight the due date to you when you log in to our website to check your transactions when payment is almost due as a reminder for you to pay your bills and prevent you from incurring late payment fee.
How do I use the First Meta ATM and where will it be?
ATMs will be located on the First Meta SIM, at Partner Merchants' malls/sims/stores as well as relevant popular locations for your convenience.
What is credit card validation? Does that mean that my credit card will be charged?
First Meta will be verifying the validity of all real-life credit cards provided at least once a month with effect from November 2007 onwards. Please note that your credit card will NOT be charged as a result of the verification.
Our partner billing company, Editorial Services, may appear on your real-life credit card transaction log or statement but rest assured that your real-life credit card will not be charged.
